Protests mount against Jerusalem perversion parade

By Stan Goodenough
June 15, 2007

Religious Jews in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are intensifying their protests against next Wednesday’s planned parade of sexual perversity in Israel’s capital.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Bnei Brak and Mea Shearim Thursday, where they were confronted by police who have been ordered to ensure that the march can proceed.

Jerusalem is holy to Christians and Jews, whose Bible teaches that homosexuality and other twisted forms of sexuality are an abomination to God.

For the militant homosexual movement however – both in Israel and abroad – this is precisely why the sacred city must be targeted.

The public exposure of nakedness and other lewd and lascivious behavior that will accompany the parade will be an intentional and provocative slap in the face of all those who hold these beliefs. Israel’s liberal courts, which are more concerned about protecting the “rights” of a few than safeguarding the well-being of the many, have ruled that the march can go ahead.

The public outcry against the decision is expected to intensify in the coming days.
